Dries Mertens said he is “learning more every day” from new Napoli Coach Maurizio Sarri and expects to score more goals.
The Belgian international spoke to Mediaset Premium Sport ahead of tonight’s friendly against OGC Nice.
“It’ll be a pleasure to play in Nice, as they are a good team and have a beautiful stadium,” said Mertens.
The players have all praised new tactician Sarri after two years under Rafa Benitez.

“I have learned a lot from him already and am learning more every day. I like the new tactical system, as I can play in a more advanced role and hopefully score a few more goals.
“We worked very well in pre-season, now we must get into shape to be ready for the competitive games.
“When you sign for Napoli, it’s something special. This is not just a football club, it’s more than that. It’s wonderful to play for Napoli.”
