According to Calciomercato.com, he will treat his injury in Antwerp’s Move to Cure clinic where his teammate Victor Osimhen is also undergoing therapies to recover from a dislocated shoulder.

The Nigeria striker will return to Italy on December 29 when Napoli will resume trainings ahead of the first game after the Christmas break against Cagliari on January 3.

Mertens is working towards is recovery and hopes to be eligible to play the Italian Supercup against Juventus on January 20.
