Dries Mertens is close to agreeing a new Napoli contract until 2020 after his hat-trick on Tuesday, say reports. 

The Belgium international took the match ball home after hitting three past Bologna in a 6-0 win on Tuesday.

Tuttosport reports today that the winger is close to agreeing the terms of a contract extension, despite being in and out of Maurizio Sarri’s team this season.

Mertens will extend his current deal by two years according to the newspaper, keeping him at the Partenopei until 2020.
