Dries Mertens has been cleared to play for Napoli against Juventus this weekend after avoiding punishment for his dive.

Mertens was accused of conning the referee as he won a penalty for Napoli during their 4-3 victory over Fiorentina, despite going down with little to no contact.

However, the FIGC ruled on Tuesday that the Federal Prosecutor would not review the Belgian’s act of simulation retrospectively.

Therefore, he is available to face Juve in Saturday’s Serie A showdown at the Allianz Stadium.
