Jeremey Menez appears to confirm Milan Coach Pippo Inzaghi’s job is at risk in tomorrow’s Coppa Italia game – ‘we can’t afford any mistakes’.

The Rossoneri have taken just one point from their opening four Serie A games in 2015, and it’s widely believed that Inzaghi will be relieved of his duties should he fail to guide the team to a win over Lazio tomorrow.

“The players are always with Inzaghi,” Menez told reporters ahead of the game.

“I’m not saying this just for the sake of saying it, but everyone thinks the same.

“This Milan are lacking a bit of malice, because at Torino we were winning 1-0 and in Rome [against Lazio on Saturday] too.

“We seem to be too nice, we need to have more nastiness, because the top teams have that. Now it’s up to us.

“We’re fine in the dressing room. It’s true that tomorrow’s match is very important, for us, for the Coach and for the fans, but we shouldn’t put more pressure on ourselves.

“Tomorrow we can’t afford any mistakes, we have to take the field like lions because we can’t make any mistakes.

“It’s true that we’re going through a difficult time, but there are more important things in life.

“We have to stand up and be counted, get back to work and go out and try to get a good result tomorrow, because that’s what we all want.

“There are some things that are out of our control, that’s just the way things are. We know when Milan aren’t doing well, there are people who speak badly of the club and it’s too easy to do.

“Here at Milanello, we’ve worked just between ourselves, and we all have to help each other. Only then can we move forward.

“The fans are very important for us. I understand [their frustrastion] because for them things aren’t easy at the moment.

“It’s up to us to get them on our side as they were earlier in the season. We can only do this by giving our all on the pitch and trying to give everything we have.

“We care about the Coppa Italia, it’s very important this year. In the League we’re not going through a good spell, so if we could do something in the Coppa Italia it would be nice.”

The French international also discussed his own contribution, and says he doesn't care if he scores tomorrow, as long as the team wins.

"I try to do my best to help the team, and my job is to score goals.

"We need to try and play with a bit of joy on the pitch, in my opinion that's what has been missing, we need to have a bit more fun.

"I like scoring goals, but I don't like the situation we're in.

"It's always nice to score, but not if you lose matches. For me, winning is more important, especially tomorrow."
