"I have a real desire to return to Spain, but that dream is still a long way off because I have a contract with Juventus," he told Globoesporte.

"However, in football, you can never say never because everything can change in an instant.

"It all depends on Juventus and the decisions of their directors on whether to put me on the transfer market or not.

"England? That would be my last option."

Melo joined the Old Lady in 2009 for almost €25m. It's unclear whether he features in the plans of new boss Antonio Conte.

The World Cup player has been associated with a move to Real Madrid in the past as boss Jose Mourinho is understood to be an admirer.
