The 21-year-old goalkeeper was not the MOTM in Bologna-Milan, but Italian sports papers praised him claiming he was “decisive” against the Rossoblu.

The Rossoneri conceded a goal in the second half, but Donnarumma made three crucial saves on Nicola Sansone, Nicolas Dominguez and Roberto Soriano allowing Milan to snatch all three points and remain on top of the Serie A table.

La Gazzetta dello Sport, Tuttosport and Il Corriere dello Sport all rated ‘Gigio’ 7/10, with the Rome-based paper that called the Italy international “a wall.”

Rafael Leao picked up the same rating on La Gazzetta dello Sport and was named MOTM.

As per Tuttosport, Davide Calabria was the best player on the pitch at the Dall’Ara, while Il Corriere dello Sport crowned Franck Kessié.
