“I believe that this Serie A season, considering everything we’ve seen so far this summer, is going to be very unpredictable,” the Coach told Torino Channel.

“Compared to recent years, it’ll be more hard-fought, with many teams who invested in the transfer market and changed Coaches too. It could be the year when the title race becomes unpredictable and fascinating again.”

Toro finished seventh in Serie A last term and only qualified for the Europa League preliminary rounds because Milan pulled out due to Financial Fair Play issues.

Their chances of making it to the group stage are hanging by a thread after a 3-2 home defeat to Wolverhampton Wanderers on Thursday.

“I immediately asked the lads to press the reset button and forget what happened, as they just need to focus on Sassuolo. We’ll be up against a few players who caused us problems last season with Empoli, like Junior Traore and Francesco Caputo.

“Sassuolo play the kind of football that makes it difficult for you. We want to do well, then from Monday can start to think about the trip to England.

“It’s possible there will be some changes, but I take it for granted Andrea Belotti has recovered and is raring to go.”
