Walter Mazzarri has again expressed the need for patience, but he hopes Inter can bounce back against Atalanta after a disappointing draw on Sunday.

The Nerazzurri are undefeated thus far in Serie A, but remain four points behind pace-setters Juventus” data-scaytid=”5″>Juventus and Roma after two draws and a win in their opening three games, including a 1-1 result at the weekend against Palermo.

The Milanese side’s Coach, however, believes that his side just needs time to gel.

“For us, this is the beginning of a new cycle,” Mazzarri began at today’s Press conference.

“There are new arrivals from abroad, and every team needs time to coalesce both physically and emotionally.

“If this doesn’t happen, you don’t see the qualities of the team, but finding that harmony isn’t easy when you’re playing every two days.

“That’s why teams have caused us trouble, but I hope tomorrow we’ll see a repeat of our [7-0] performance against Sassuolo.”

With Inter playing in the Europa League last Thursday, Serie A on Sunday and facing Atalanta tomorrow, Mazzarri is aware of the need to keep his players fresh.

“It’s a function of the modern game. If you play three 90 minute games in a row you won’t have the mental and physical energy for certain games.

“[Fredy] Guarin played second striker against Dnipro, and in midfield against Palermo, so I’ll have to see if he’s ready or not, just as I will with all the others.”
