Walter Mazzarri won’t say whether Napoli are “the anti-Juventus” this season, but praised Lorenzo Insigne ahead of tomorrow’s match with his old club Pescara.

The Partenopei leapt into second place and are just two points adrift of leaders Juve, while they have also qualified for the Europa League knockouts. They welcome Pescara in the Sunday lunchtime kick-off, click here for a match preview.

“Are we the anti-Juventus? I am not interested in what anyone else says, as I just want to get the best out of my players and then at the end see where we finish up,” said Coach Mazzarri in his Press conference.

Milan can climb back up, while I’d highlight Fiorentina, who have a great squad and I saw as one of the favourites even before the season began.

“I am happy the players think highly of me and I thank them. I have always been relaxed in that respect. I’m also pleased they realise how tricky tomorrow’s game will be, as we’ve seen that every match is completely unpredictable.

“I hope the fans can help us too for 95 minutes and I’d like for them to applaud everyone, even if they are substituted.”

This is going to be a special game for Insigne, who shot to fame at Pescara last season when taking them to promotion.

“He is doing very well and is absorbing the pressure. He is a serious and mature lad who has understood that he must play for the team and not care about what anyone says. Some didn’t realise that there is a big difference from Serie B, which is why I say Insigne is doing much better than expected.”
