Sampdoria striker Maxi Lopez has apologised for picking up a suspension prohibiting him from featuring in the next two games.
The 29-year-old was given the ban earlier today as punishment for his behaviour after the Blucerchiati's 1-1 home draw against Torino yesterday.
Lopez kicked the referee's door at the end of the game whilst insulting the official and his assistants.
As a result the former Catania man will miss Wednesday's visit to Roma and the home game against Napoli next weekend.

“We played a very tight game, in which I had given everything and suffered a lot,” read the players statement on Samp's official website.
“At the end of the game, coming back into the changing rooms, I was angry and wrong. It was not my intention to vent my frustrations with inadequate gestures – for this I apologise to the team, my team-mates and our fans.”
