The Rossoneri are the only remaining Italian team in the competition and the Argentine is hoping for a Final place against Barcelona.

“I don’t want to face Barca or Real Madrid in the quarter-finals because they are in impressive shape right now,” the 27-year-old noted. “They are sides in great form.

“I’d like those two teams to face each other in the semi-final and then hope that we can take on Barca in the Munich Final. That would be perfect.”

Lopez, who joined the club from Catania on loan in January, was signed by Barcelona in January 2005 from River Plate.

However, he struggled to impress and only managed two goals in 19 appearances for the Catalan giants.
