“I am very happy here, I acclimatised well because there is a style of football here that I really like,” Matuidi commented.

“Serie A is very difficult from a tactical point of view. From the outside you don’t realise it but then you go on the pitch against any team and there is crazy organisation.

“It’s a difficult League and I really want to win this Scudetto. We’ll do everything we can to win it, it would be exceptional to win a seventh in a row.”

Matuidi has established himself as an important member of Max Allegri’s squad since his arrival, making 29 appearances in all competitions and scoring twice.

“It’s an honour to wear the Juventus shirt. They are a club with a great history but also a glorious present.

“They have won the last six Scudetti in a row and they have made Champions League finals. I am honoured to be here.”
