“He’d bring a great contribution to Bayern, because he is the prototype of the player who moves between defence and attack. Bayern lack someone with those characteristics,” Matthaus told La Tercera.

“Vidal also has a fierce shot and can be an aggressive leader. In terms of temperament, he reminds me of Stefan Effenberg and Oliver Kahn.
“If he arrives, it will calm the pain of fans who are sore about losing Bastian Schweinsteiger to Manchester United.”
