Mati Fernandez is almost ready to make his Milan debut, after suffering from injury ever since he joined the Rossoneri from Fiorentina this summer.

The Chilean midfielder joined up with with ex-Coach Vincenzo Montella on a season long loan with an option to buy, but has yet to feature for Milan.

Gazzetta dello Sport reported that the 30-year-old returned to training yesterday and received rapturous applause from his teammates.

The same source states that he may be available for selection in the club’s forthcoming away fixture with Palermo on 6th November, but Tuttosport claim that his reintroduction to the squad will be for the derby match with Inter two weeks later.
