Former Inter defender Marco Materazzi highlighted what Milan Skriniar would be without should he join Paris Saint-Germain this year.

The 27-year-old Slovakian centre back confirmed on Sunday that he had agreed to join PSG once his time with the Nerazzurri comes to an end.

The two clubs are in close contact and he could make the jump to the French capital in the final hours of this transfer window, should they manage to agree a deal.

Speaking to DAZN, Materazzi discussed Skriniar’s imminent move to PSG and what’s special about Inter.

“Nobody should doubt his professionalism, he will give 100% until the end. But remember: you won’t find the love of the San Siro and the 80,000 Nerazzurri fans anywhere else.”

Inter had hoped to tie down Skriniar to a new contract and were confident of their chances when they rejected an offer from PSG last summer.

Since his arrival in July 2017, the Slovakian centre back has made 242 appearances across all competitions, scoring 11 goals and providing five assists, helping the side win four titles including the Scudetto.
