Martinez has a €111m release clause in his contract, which is only valid for clubs outside of Italy.

The Daily Star states that Manchester United were willing to offer Paul Pogba in exchange for Martinez, as the Red Devils refused to meet the release clause.

Calciomercato.it meanwhile reports that Martinez is intent on rejecting every offer that arrives for him, with Man City, Real Madrid and Chelsea all interested.

The website believes that Martinez is holding out for a move to Barcelona, to play alongside Lionel Messi.

Martinez has a contract with the Nerazzurri that expires in June 2023.
