The Venezuelan has joined the Stadio Olimpico outfit on a four-year contract from Swiss outfit Young Boys.
“I am happy to be here,” 21-year-old Martinez told Toro’s official website. “It’s the first time I have seen something of this sort, with the fans so close to the team.
“I’ve spoken to Ventura and I can’t wait to start my first training session. It’s definitely going to be different compared to the Swiss League, it will be hard.
“We’ll see what happens, but I am happy to be here.”
