“We really like Milan, they’re a top club,” the agent admitted, speaking to Calciomercato.
“But there’s another club at the table. I can’t confirm whether it’s Valencia, but it’s definitely a top club.
“A four-year deal? Yes, that’s the basis we’re working from. We have to meet with Galliani again either tomorrow or the day after, there are still things to be sorted out, a deal has not been reached.”
It has been speculated that the major sticking point is the dealings between Milan and Porto, with the Diavolo looking to pay Martinez’s €35m release clause in installements.
“I don’t know what that situation is, I don’t take part in negotiations between the clubs.”
