The situation at the French side is absolute chaos, as a group of ultras laid siege to the training ground, then their coach complained in a press conference that he only found out about Oliver Ntcham’s signing from the media, having previously said he didn’t want the player.

Villas-Boas said during the conference that he had offered his resignation, but today’s statement from the club was that they are suspending him with immediate effect.

According to Sky Sport Italia transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio, Marseille contacted Sarri to ask for his availability.

However, the former Napoli, Chelsea and Juventus coach is not interested in taking over a club mid-season.

Marseille signed Napoli striker Arkadiusz Milik in January.
