The 19-year-old is on the radar of Barcelona and Real Madrid after an impressive first season in Italian football.

“I’m thinking about respecting my Roma contract, one which ties me to the club for the next four years,” the former Corinthians player told Globo Esporte.

“If an offer arrived then my agent would look into it, but I’m just focused on playing football to the best of my ability.

“The rumours are nice, but I’m not thinking about them. I’m remaining calm and focusing on doing well for Roma.”

The youngster appeared in 29 games for the Giallorossi in 2012-13.

“I did not expect to mature so quickly,” he added. “But playing in Italy is beautiful and I think I have the necessary characteristics to do well here.

“I’ve grown and improved a lot this season.”
