Inter CEO Beppe Marotta claims sustainability is more important than results and explains how foreign owners have changed Italian football.

This morning, the Nerazzurri director took part in an event organized by the FIGC Federal Sector and the SDA Bocconi School of Management in Milan.

“Today, sustainability comes before the result. It’s the principle that gives life to football clubs in the long term,” he said.

“Despite the discrepancies with the fans’ passion, the arrival of foreign owners in Italy was important because it changed the business model that had at its core the generosity of entrepreneurs.

“I think that everyone’s target is to offer an interesting product and for this reason, I believe that disputes are harmful. I hope that everyone understands that, in the end, the core business is the game.”
