It was reported by several of today’s newspapers that the Tuscan could be removed at the end of the season, with Antonio Conte, Diego Simeone and Jose Mourinho mentioned as possible replacements.
Conte’s name was particularly high on the agenda, as he worked with Marotta at Juventus.

“Spalletti is an excellent Coach,” Marotta said as he left today’s board meeting, where he was officially appointed as joint-CEO.
“He needs to work calmly and it’s up to us to support him in all his activities. It’s not easy to get the results Inter want to achieve, but our obligation is to target important objectives.
“He must work very calmly because the club is at his disposal.”
