Inter director Beppe Marotta warned Al-Nassr and Barcelona that if the Marcelo Brozovic situation is not resolved quickly, ‘we will take him off the market.’

The negotiations have been incredibly complicated, as now that the midfielder seems to have finally agreed personal terms with the Saudi Pro League side, Al-Nassr then reduced their offer to Inter.

“The situation is not defined. As I always say, the player is the one who decides his destiny. Inter are not forced to sell him, but we must evaluate the opportunities on the market,” said Marotta from the stage at the ceremony opening the Serie A transfer market in Rimini.

“I think the biggest problem in this case is the contract between the player and the new club. These are situations that we will try to discuss, if it can be resolved fairly quickly, otherwise we will take him off the market.”

According to Sky Sport Italia, Sportitalia and Foot Mercato, Al-Nassr are back in talks with Inter this evening and have improved the proposal.

They had already agreed a deal for €23m only to suddenly reduce that this morning to €13m plus €2m in add-ons.

Brozovic was also asking for a golden handshake to leave early, as his contract with Inter runs to June 2026.

That was a response to needing to increase their personal terms with Brozovic to a package worth €100m over three years between the wages and signing-on fee.

It’s reported the offer now stands at €18m, which is not enough for Inter.

Meanwhile, Barcelona continue to watch from afar and hope they can make some sales in time to make another attempt for Brozovic.
