Juventus director Beppe Marotta says Barcelona’s Javier Mascherano and Dani Alves are ‘champions who could make the difference.’

Reports emerged last night that Juve have a deal in place to sign Alves on a two-year deal and that Mascherano had agreed terms with the Old Lady too.

Marotta was asked about the transfer rumours while at a Football Leader event in Amalfi today, as reported by Tuttomercatoweb.

“La Liga is the league that best represents European football,” said Marotta.

“It seems like a poor game, as we only talk about three teams, but their ranking improves thanks to their values on the pitch.

“Speaking of Barcelona and Real Madrid, you’re talking about champions who could make the difference in our game and be important.”
