Marino, sidelined since he was axed in April 2012 by Serie A side Genoa, will be presented to the media next Saturday.

The 50-year-old was approached after Zdenek Zeman, who was dismissed by Roma in February, rejected the chance of a return.

Pescara had three tacticians during the 2012-13 campaign – Giovanni Stroppa, Cristiano Bergodi and then Cristian Bucchi.

The seaside outfit finished bottom of the League after winning just six, drawing four and losing 28 of their 38 matches.
