Polish referee Szymon Marciniak will officiate the Nations League match between England and Italy on Saturday evening.

The game kicks off on Saturday at 19.45 UK time (18.45 GMT).

It’ll be at Molineux, the stadium that is home to Wolverhampton Wanderers, with only circa 2,000 children and accompanying adults in the stands.

This is because it’s played behind closed doors as punishment for the behaviour of England fans ahead of the EURO 2020 Final at Wembley Stadium against Italy.

Marciniak has been assigned as the referee, with Pawel Sokolnicki and Tomasz Listkiewicz as his assistants.

The fourth official is Tomasz Musial, with an all-Polish VAR team of Tomasz Kwiatkowski and Adam Kupsik.

Marciniak only ever officiated one senior Italy match, a 3-1 friendly defeat to Belgium in November 2015.

He also oversaw the recent 3-0 Juventus home defeat to Villarreal in the Champions League Round of 16.

His only game with England was a 3-2 Nations League victory away to Spain in October 2018.
