There are reports Claudio Marchisio could be out for another month with a thigh strain on his Juventus comeback.

The midfielder had been sidelined since early August with a muscular problem and made his return from the starting XI against Chievo last night.

He went off at half-time when he felt his right thigh muscle harden, but wrote on social media that he “hopes it’s nothing serious.”

According to Sky Sport Italia, the rumours coming out of Turin are anything but reassuring.

Another thigh strain would rule Marchisio out of action for up to a month.

He’s out of Tuesday’s Champions League trip to Manchester City, even if the injury is not quite that serious.

Sami Khedira and Kwadwo Asamoah are also still sidelined.
