Former Milan forward Giuseppe Marchioro says there is no future for the Rossoneri if things at the club stay as they are.

Pippo Inzaghi’s team have conceded 10 goals in three pre-season friendlies during their tour of the United States, scoring only once themselves.

“You can’t understand anything anymore, there is a confusion there and it is very difficult to get an idea,” Marchioro said of the team’s performances.

“The results in these friendlies show how much work there is to do to make up the lost ground.

“The truth is that the Milan squad is not of a high level and if it stays that way I can’t see a future.”

The 78-year-old also believes changes are needed off the pitch as well as on it at San Siro.

“I think that now even the directors don’t seem to have any more desire, they seem to have made peace with their conscience.

“Something needs to change there too, otherwise it will be impossible to see the Milan of 15 years ago again.

“A defender of an excellent level is missing, like De Vrij could have been, two midfielders and a striker that Milan do not have at this moment.”
