Rolando Maran felt Chievo “played on a par with Milan, but the goal on the stroke of half-time was a hammer-blow.”

The Flying Donkeys had been unbeaten on home turf since January, a run of 11 games, but fell 3-1 this evening.

“In the first half we played the game we wanted to and were on a par with Milan, but Juraj Kucka’s goal right before half-time was a hammer-blow to our confidence,” the Coach told Mediaset Premium.

“In the first half we played the game we wanted to and were on a par with Milan, but Juraj Kucka’s goal right before half-time was a hammer-blow to our confidence,” the Coach told Mediaset Premium.

“Then straight after the restart we conceded again. After a while we were able to get back on track and close down the gaps, but when we were giving our all to get an equaliser, the third goal arrived out of nowhere.

“Unfortunately we conceded two goals either side of the break with two misplaced passes. We created a great deal, but ultimately weren’t dangerous enough in our finishing.

“It’s disappointing, we played on the same level as Milan, but it just didn’t go our way.”
