The Partenopei legend met with the current squad at Castelvolturno yesterday, and shared a hug with the Slovakian international.
El Pibe De Oro holds the club’s goalscoring record with 115, but Hamsik is poised to overtake him after 106 goals since joining in 2007.
“Soon he’ll beat my goal record,” Maradona acknowledged, speaking to Neapolitan newspaper Il Mattino.
