Giampaolo Pazzini struggles to explain Milan's crisis, whilst praising Mario Balotelli and Max Allegri.

The poacher seemed positive after his strong performance in last Sunday's 3-0 win against Torino, in spite of the Rossoneri's disappointing season.

“There can't be only one reason,” he said, when asked by Sky Italia to explain the crisis. “There have been some mistakes and a variety of things that weren't done well.

“After our first few games we were driven, but we were unable to find the continuity we required to build confidence.

“The 4-3-3? The stats tell us that all of the strikers struggled. Because of our way of playing, the wingers are perhaps the ones who come off best.”

The 30-year-old scored his 100th goal against Torino last Sunday, a fact he was openly pleased about.

“It's a record that I wanted badly. I had the privilege of scoring it in San Siro, with the captain's armband, which was wonderful.

“Mario Balotelli? He's skilled as a poacher, but he doesn't like to play that way. I enjoyed playing with him, he listened to me on the pitch and we supported each other.

“I also had a very good year with [former Milan Coach Max] Allegri, he helped me a lot because he gave me great confidence.”

Finally, Pazzini was asked about his future.

“Before anything else there's another game to be played, and we've got to close this season with dignity.

“For my own part, my contract is due to expire but I haven't spoken with anyone.

“I'll wait for Milan's decision. I want to achieve many things and feel like an important player again.”
