The Partenopei are thought to be in the market for back up to Elseid Hysaj, with Corriere dello Sport claiming that the Spaniard is their preferred choice.
22-year-old Manquillo came through the youth system at Vicente Calderon but has also gone out on loan in each of the last two seasons.
His first port of call was Liverpool two years ago, before he headed to French club Marseille last summer.
