Palermo Coach Devis Mangia admits “we have problems in the final third” after a humiliating derby defeat.

The Rosanero were beaten 2-0 by Sicilian rivals Catania and barely managed a shot on goal at the Massimino.

“How do I feel? I feel like someone who lost the derby,” confessed Mangia after a third consecutive defeat between Serie A and the Coppa Italia.

“Apart from the first 15 minutes, I think the team moved well. It’s true that we have problems in the final third due to the poor form of our strikers. They are giving their all, but cannot do any more than that.

“Fabrizio Miccoli went off because was in bad shape and now we will evaluate his condition.”

There are rumours President Maurizio Zamparini is preparing to wield the axe after this run of defeats and the fact Palermo haven’t scored a single away goal this season.

“I haven’t spoken to the President yet.”
