Juventus and former Croatia striker Mario Mandzukic has been nominated for the Ballon d’Or.

The 32-year-old helped his nation to reach the World Cup final this summer, scoring in both the semi-final and the final.

He announced his retirement from international football after the tournament, having scored 33 goals in 89 caps.

Last season he helped Juve to win both Serie A and the Coppa Italia, and this season he has four goals and two assists in seven league appearances.
