Juventus striker Mario Mandzukic reveals Massimiliano Allegri ‘has given me a lot of support’ and says he was ‘an important factor’ in deciding to sign.
The Croatia international signed for the Bianconeri last summer and has scored six goals in 18 Serie A appearances since his arrival.
“Relationship with Allegri? The Coach has given me a lot of support and has shown faith in my potential,” he said to Croatian outlet Sportske Novosti.

“I knew he had insisted on my signing, and this is a very important factor for every player’s decision.
“With this faith he was close to me in the difficult moments and that means a lot to me.
“I already had great respect for these wonderful players before arriving here,”

“Buffon was my idol as a kid. I already knew half of the Juventus team very well before arriving and this definitely convinced me even more to accept the offer.
“I had a tough battle with Chiellini, but we always shook hands at the end of the match. It was a duel between real men, no pats on the back or crying.”
