“It’s never easy to play against Milan, even after a break for international duty with so many players away,” said Mandorlini in his Press conference.

“As it is an important match, everyone will want to take part. It’s never easy against Milan, but we won’t make it easy for them either. We must play our usual game, without fear, but with respect.”

The tactician was also asked about comments implying Pippo Inzaghi had not gone through the usual hoops and stages of a Coach to reach a top club.

“I am happy for Inzaghi, because nobody gifted him anything and he is proving his worth as a tactician, trying to apply his ideas of football. This is his first year and he has a lot of enthusiasm. I hope he can do well in future.”

Jacopo Sala, Lazaros Christodoulopoulos and Mounir Obbadi are out of action.

“Moras can play as a left-back in place of Martic, who has been out for a while. He’d probably be up against El Shaarawy, but still has the characteristics to take him on.”

Verona squad for Milan: Rafael, Benussi, Gollini; Rodriguez, Marquez, Sorensen, Luna, Moras, Marques, Brivio, Agostini, Gonzalez, Martic; Hallfredsson, Ionita, Valoti, Campanharo, Tachtsidis; Saviola, Toni, Jankovic, Lopez, Gomez Taleb, Nenè
