“We studied Fiorentina’s recent games and they are good at maintaining possession, so we must hit them on the counter,” said the Coach in a Press conference.

“This is a very strange season for everyone and some of the Viola’s results did not reflect the performances. They remain a team to be feared and we should be very wary.

“I saw Toni in training and he is ready. He has all the necessary energy to shine in this game. Nico Lopez must do more, but he has a great career ahead of him. If he learns to do defensive work too, then he’ll become the complete player. I can confirm Nico will start.”

Ivan Martic, Mattia Valoti, Bosko Jankovic, Frederik Sorensen and Jacopo Sala are out of action.

Verona squad for Fiorentina: Rafael, Benussi, Gollini; Rodriguez, R Marquez, Luna, Moras, R Marques, Brivio, Agostini, Gonzalez; Obbadi, Hallfredsson, Ionita, Campanharo, Tachtsidis; Saviola, Toni, Lopez, Christodoulopoulos, Gomez Taleb, Nenè
