Inter Coach Roberto Mancini says it's possible Xherdan Shaqiri and Mateo Kovacic will play against Wolfsburg tomorrow.

The Swiss midfielder was ruled out of the Europa League Last 16 game yesterday, but may be back in time, as confirmed by il Mancio himself in his Press conference.

“I spoke with [Dr Piero] Volpi and if there's even the slightest risk that he could get hurt then we'll keep him on the bench," he said.

“But we have more than 24 hours, so let's see how he does in training today. He seemed to be doing fine, but we'll make a decision together with the medical staff.

“As for Kovacic, it's true that he didn't play against Cesena, and getting less playing time may have an influence.

“He's a young player and alternating time on and off the bench is normal. If he plays tomorrow then I hope he enjoys a significant game.

“These are the matches that can unlock something inside you.

“We already knew that Wolfsburg are a great team, but everything can happen in a match.

“They'll be holding back to hit us on the counter, but if we can score early on and then handle the game without conceding space, things will get tough for them.

“That's what we're hoping for, of course, though an individual episode can always change everything.”

Finally, Mancini shared a comment on today's arrest of Parma President Giampietro Manenti, who is being charged with money laundering and embezzlement.

“I'm sorry for an important club like Parma, and for a city that is full of decent people.

“I have a lot of respect for [Coach Roberto] Donadoni and his players. I understand that their situation isn't easy.”
