Roberto Mancini and Mauro Icardi’s relationship has reportedly broken down, meaning one of them will leave in the summer.

There were reports on deadline day that the club were ready to sell Icardi for €25m, but they were soon dismissed as speculation.

However, Tuttosport report today that the relationship between the two has hit rock bottom after the Nerazzurri captain was benched for the Milan derby last weekend.

However, Tuttosport report today that the relationship between the two has hit rock bottom after the Nerazzurri captain was benched for the Milan derby last weekend.

Icardi was also unhappy after Mancio criticised him following a 1-1 draw with Carpi on 24 January, with the Coach saying: “Our strikers can’t just stand there and wait for the ball to come.”

The newspaper believes that a separation is now possible and that if Mancini stays on as Coach next season, Icardi will leave the club.
