Italy CT Roberto Mancini aims to win the Nations League and admits ‘it won’t be easy’ for the Azzurri against England in March in the Euro qualifiers.

Mancini and FIGC President Gabriele Gravina attended an event in Rome this morning to launch the new Azzurri kits for 2023.

“Italy is loved worldwide for many things, including the national team,” the coach said as quoted by Calciomercato.com.

“We’ll play England in March and it won’t be easy, they are a strong national team and we hope we’ll do well also to prepare in the best way for the Nations League’s Final four.”

The Azzurri will face Croatia, the Netherlands and Spain in the semi-finals but Mancini has no preference for the next opponent: “what matters is to win,” he said.

The Nations League’s semi-finals and finals will be played in June, while the first match of the year against England will be played at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona in Naples on March 23. Malta, North Macedonia and Ukraine are also part of the 2024 Euro qualifying Group C.
