Roberto Mancini admits tomorrow’s Genoa match is the ‘last chance’ for Inter to make the Europa League.

The Nerazzurri face the Grifoni at the Marassi knowing that a win would take them to within one point of the hosts.

“There are two games to go, but it doesn’t only depend on us,” Mancini said in his pre-match Press conference.

“If we win and Samp don’t then we’re in a good position, we’ll try to get a result and hope other teams drop points.

“Despite the undeserved defeat to Juventus, there is still hope.

“It’s our last chance, and we have to hope other results go in our favour. I hope in future we’re playing more important games than ones for Europa League qualification.

“It won’t be an easy game, because Genoa are fit and play well, just as we often do away from home.”

Mancini was then asked the reasons for his side having better form away from home.

“San Siro can sometimes be intimidated. In theory, it should be there that we don’t drop points in the way we’ve done this year, and then we’ve won away from home.

“The team has now acquired a good mentality to play at San Siro, but we still want something more at a technical level, a case in point being the absurd defeat to Juventus.

“If you get nothing when you dominate for 45 minutes then you’re missing something.”
