"With Del Neri we have a two-year relationship, but it's evident that we will evaluate many things at the end of the season," Marotta said.

Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini has emerged as the favourite to replace Gigi Del Neri at Juventus next season.

Fresh doubts about Del Neri's future became apparent on Tuesday when Juventus general manager Beppe Marotta told Sky Italia that his position is to be evaluated.

"With Del Neri we have a two-year relationship, but it's evident that we will evaluate many things at the end of the season," Marotta said.

This has been taken by the Italian papers to mean that Juventus are considering a change after another season of disappointment in Turin.

La Gazzetta dello Sport understands Marotta had a long meeting with Mancini's agent Giorgio De Giorgis about his client.

Juventus' technical director Fabio Paratici was also present.

The only obstacle to overcome is the fans' relationship with Mancini.

He was in charge of Inter in the aftermath of Calciopoli and wouldn't necessarily be welcome.

Juventus are also said to be interested in Andre Villas Boas, Antonio Conte, Luciano Spalletti and Gian Piero Gasperini.
