Roberto Mancini says things are ‘difficult’ for Milan Coach Pippo Inzaghi, but understands he couldn’t turn them down.

The Inter Coach has spoken about his opposite number in the San Siro dugout, and advises that he’d have been better off gaining experience at a smaller club, such as when Sassuolo offered him the job.

“The first years are difficult for everyone,” Mancini reflected in an interview with Gazzetta TV

“The first years are difficult for everyone,” Mancini reflected in an interview with Gazzetta TV

“You’ll make mistakes, and that’s normal. That said, you have to have the quality. I started at Fiorentina and in half a year we won the Coppa and came sixth.

“But it’s different at Milan, it’s always different at a big club.

“Having experience certainly helps, but as with any line of work, there are those who have more quality and those who have less.

“Pippo couldn’t say no, but maybe he’d have been better gaining experience at Sassuolo and returning to Milan, but when these opportunities arise…”
