According to The Sun, Manchester United would let David De Gea join Real Madrid next summer if they got Gianluigi Donnarumma from Milan.

The 18-year-old shot-stopper only recently signed a new contract to June 2021, making him one of the highest-paid players in Serie A.

It was never entirely clarified whether this included a release clause, although there were reports it could be as low as €50m for a club abroad if Milan failed to qualify for the Champions League.

Today’s edition of The Sun suggests Manchester United have not lost hope of signing Donnarumma and would be ready to let De Gea leave for Real Madrid if they could replace him with the Italy international in the summer of 2019.
