Jose Mourinho is about to take on the Red Devils job after Louis van Gaal’s dismissal and is a fan of Manolas.

Chelsea had also approached Roma, but were put off by the €40m asking price, something that apparently does not concern Manchester United.

The Giallorossi do have another ace up their sleeve, as they are in the Champions League preliminary round.

However, Sky Sport Italia claim there's a way around it by sending him out on loan with mandatory option to buy.
