Brazilian stopper Silva is being linked again with Barcelona, while Ibra has been associated with both Real Madrid and Manchester City.

“If you want to win something then you can’t do without Thiago Silva and Ibrahimovic,” the Milan legend told Sky Sport Italia.

“If the objective is to balance the accounts and have a decent campaign, then you can sacrifice one of the two.”

Both players have a transfer valuation of over €30m.

The Diavolo will have to make changes this summer given the certain departures of Alessandro Nesta, Mark Van Bommel, Gennaro Gattuso and Pippo Inzaghi. Clarence Seedorf is also set to quit San Siro.

“A lot of Italian football’s recent history is leaving,” the ex-left-back added. “There is a bit of sadness, even if there is also happiness because of what we have seen them do in the past.”
