Paolo Maldini says he is open to dialogue with the FIGC and has hailed Inter for their “respect and rivalry” with Milan over the past 110 years.
Maldini has been vocal in his criticism of Italian football’s governing body, accusing it of “not caring” about the national team as recently as Thursday night, while Inter celebrated 110 years of existence on Friday.

Maldini has been vocal in his criticism of Italian football’s governing body, accusing it of “not caring” about the national team as recently as Thursday night, while Inter celebrated 110 years of existence on Friday.
“Arsenal? I didn’t see the game, but I appreciate Rino’s work,” the former Milan captain said at an event organised by bookmaker William Hill.
“He showed grit but also ability and has lived through some important experiences. Although he has never coached top teams before, he’s showed that he can do well.
“Champions League? It’s very difficult, this defeat in Europe didn’t help. Sometimes it’s enough to mess up once and the gap becomes too much.
“Buffon? I remember signing my last contract in crutches. It’s difficult to give advice to an important player like Gigi.
“FIGC? I’m willing to talk to them, but it's too early to say whether I’ll get involved with them.
“I’ve always liked the world of football, but I’ve never said that I must necessarily stay in it/
“Inter’s 110-yearanniversary? There’s always been respect and rivalry between us.
“When I started playing for the national team, there were blocks of Milan and Inter players and we got on well with each other.”
