The Argentina international joined the Nerazzurri in 2011 from Velez Sarsfield for a fee of around €11m, and has gone on to make 24 Serie A appearances for the club, scoring two goals.

A bid of €14m is likely to sway the San Siro side's head, as they look to offload the youngster who has been plagued with knee problems since his arrival in Italy.

Malaga, who were brought by Sheik Abdullah Al Thani last year, made their Champions League debut this season, being drawn in the same group as Inter's city rivals Milan.
