According to multiple reports in Italy, Ainsley Maitland-Niles move from Arsenal to Roma is a done deal and the player will undergo his medical today.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport and Il Corriere dello Sport, the Englishman will undergo his medical examinations with the Giallorossi today in London.

Roma and Arsenal have been in talks for several weeks, struggling to reach an agreement over an initial loan deal with an option to buy.

Therefore, the clubs decided to change the formula, so the versatile English defender will move to the Stadio Olimpico on a ‘dry’ loan deal worth €1m.

Maitland-Niles is only the first reinforcement for José Mourinho’s Roma in the January transfer window.

The Special One is still on the lookout for a new midfielder and according to Il Corriere dello Sport, the Giallorossi are in talks with Olympique De Marseille’s Boubacar Kamara.

The 22-year-old sees his contract expire at the end of the season and the Giallorossi hope to sign him on the cheap in the winter transfer window.
